In October 1998 mysterious incidence occurred in Congo DRC's eastern province of Kasai when the fiercely match between Bena Tshadi and Basanga was going on. Bena Tshadi were at their home stadium while Basanga were the visitors.
When both team players and spectators were still concentrating on the match, Suddenly the lightning came down and struck all eleven Bena Tsheba's players who were on the pitch continuing playing the game, while Basanga's players were left untouched. The lightning was also killed 30 spectators who were watching the game, When this event was happening each team had already scored one goal. Football fans and spectators thought there must be magic power and witchcraft involvement as they made accusations about teams that employed witchdoctors to give curse over the opponent teams.
