Job enrichment is a strategy used by organizations to increase quality of work life and raise employees performance. Job enrichment involves additional of variety motivators to a job (such as tasks, autonomy, feedback, identity and responsibilities) in order to make a job more meaningful to the employees. It aims at increasing employee's satisfaction, motivation and productivity.

Job enrichment may involve assigning employees with new tasks which requires new skills to perform. When employees perform these new tasks, they could learn new skills.

Since job enrichment involves addition of motivators such as feedback, autonomy, new tasks and responsibilities in a job. This can help to reduce monotony and boredom, and increase motivation which can result to increase in employees performance too.

Adding motivators to a job helps to raise employees working morale. This can lead to improvement of employees performance in their jobs.
