Blogger platform or Blogspot gives an option to its users to add copyright notice in their blogs through a footer widget known as Attribution gadget. Adding a copyright notice in your blog shows that your contents are protected and should not be copied. This post is going to show how to add a copyright statement in a blogger footer section.
You can add copyright notice within Attribution gadget/widget which is a preinstalled gadget, or adding it to a HTML/JavaScript gadget.
1. Adding copyright notice in an Attribution gadget.
Step 1: Login to your Blogger account and select a blog you want to add the copyright notice.
Step 2: Click on Layout option from the left panel.
Step 3: Click a pencil icon on the attribution gadget.
Step 4: Write your copyright statement and hit a SAVE tab.
If you find that this is not attractive just because has a Powered by Blogger text above it, still you can remove the attribution gadget and add your copyright notice by using a HTML/JavaScript gadget.
2. Add copyright notice by using HTML/JavaScript gadget.
Step 1: Remove Attribution gadget. Learn here how to remove it.
Step 2: Click Add a gadget in the Footer section.
Step 3: Select HTML/JavaScript from the list.
Step 4: Copy the code from the box below and paste it in a Configure HTML/JavaScript box then hit a SAVE tab.
Settings for this code:
- Replace https://yourblog.com/ with your blog address.
- Replace Your blog name with your your blog name.
- You can also replace All right reserved © with your own words.
Note: If you want to center your copyright notice, add <center> <center> tags at the beginning and the end of the code, then the code must look like in this box below.
