A wage is a payment in which an employee is paid on a hourly basis. Usually a wage is not a part of an employment contract and an employee receives it when works for overtime. The amount of wages an employee receives depends on the number of hours he or she worked.
A wage is quiet different from a salary, whereby a wage is a hourly basis payment while a salary is a full-time fixed payment paid on a monthly basis and is always a part of an employment contract.
