Lina Medina, a Peruvian girl, was born in September 23, 1933. She became the world's youngest mother after giving birth at 5 years old in 1939. During her pregnancy, her parents didn't know anything so they took her to a doctor after she started complaining of pain in her stomach. At first time, a doctor thought she had tumor but after checkup a doctor discovered that she was seven months pregnant. After several weeks Lina gave birth to a baby boy named Gerardo Medina.

Lina Medina did not reveal the father of her child. When a child grew up, he thought Lina is his sister until he was about 10 years old when he was told the truth that Lina was his mother not his sister. The son of Lina Medina (Gerardo) died when he was 40 years old in 1979, the chief cause of his death was bone disease. Lina was married by Raúl Jurado and later after her marriage she gave birth to her second child. Lina died in 2015 because of heart attack.
