WHY JUPITER HAS GOT MANY MOONS?
1) It has high gravitational force; The gravitational force of Jupiter is 24.79 m/s² which is higher than gravity of any planet in the solar system. This helps it to capture asteroids easily and make them orbit it as a satellite(moon).2) it is near asteroid belt; Jupiter is located near the asteroid belt, a lot of asteroids are said to be found between mars and Jupiter. This makes Jupiter capture asteroids from the belt easily.
