Jupiter is a biggest planet in the list of 8 planets in the solar system, it has the circumference of 439,264 kilometers (about 11 times of earth's circumference).
It is a fifth planet from the sun and it takes about 4,300 days or 11 year and 7 months to orbit the sun.

A wonderful thing about this planet you might not know is it has many moons than any other planet in the solar system. According to NASA, Jupiter has about 85 to 90 moons which orbit it, while the planet we live (planet Earth) has only one moon.

WHY JUPITER HAS GOT MANY MOONS?
1) It has high gravitational force; The gravitational force of Jupiter is 24.79 m/s² which is higher than gravity of any planet in the solar system. This helps it to capture asteroids easily and make them orbit it as a satellite(moon).

2) it is near asteroid belt; Jupiter is located near the asteroid belt, a lot of asteroids are said to be found between mars and Jupiter. This makes Jupiter capture asteroids from the belt easily.
