Motorcyclists

So, why August tends to be more deadly for motorcyclists than other months?

Below are the reasons for that.

More drivers in summer season:

August is the hot season, so most of people go out for long road trip in this season than in winter season. This leads to the increase of drivers on the road which also increases the risk of accidents in the summer time.

End of summer partying:

August involves more partying for adults and teens than most other times throughout the year, except major holidays and spring break. In most cases, partying goes hand in hand with alcohols and unfortunately not everyone drinks responsibly. Alcohol is a leading cause of road accidents throughout the country. In fact, alcohol makes drivers and motorcyclists be careless when are on the roadway which may also lead to accidents.

More constructions in summer:

In most states that go through severe winters, huge number of construction projects are begun in summer. These construction projects may involves roadblocks, redirections and slowing down of traffic which can also lead to accident when few drivers are disoriented in the process.

More Bicyclists and Pedestrians:

Summer brings out not only drivers and motorcyclists but also bicyclists and pedestrians who want to enjoy their outdoors at a more leisurely pace. So the number of pedestrian and bicyclists on the road in this season increases too. Unfortunately most of motorcyclists and pedestrians go out for road trip without any kind of protection, thus, they also contribute to the increase of accident deaths during this season.

More teen drivers:

During summer vacation, the number of teen drivers increases on the roads. And since most of them lack driving experience, they tend to act more impulsively. This also is reason for increase of road accidents.

So, what a motorcyclist have to do in case he gets an accident?

If a motorcyclist has been injured or his property has been damaged in an accident and he believes that he's not the one at fault, he should consult with an experienced motorcycle injury attorney.

A motorcycle injury attorney can advise a motorcyclist of his rights and help him to fight for all compensation he deserves.

How much will it cost to hire motorcycle injury attorney?

Most motorcycle injury lawyers work on a contingency basis. This means that the attorney will receive a percentage of what a motorcyclist is awarded. So if a motorcyclist is awarded nothing means a lawyer won't get paid.

Conclusion: When you are on the road, whether you're a driver, a rider or a pedestrian, you have to follow traffic rules to make you and other road users safe. Be responsible and please, don't drink and drive you are risking your life.
